2. General information

This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed when using the “Darts Tycoon” website and web app. Personal data is any information that can identify you directly or indirectly.

3. Access data / server logs

When you visit the site, the hosting provider typically processes technically necessary access data (e.g., IP address, date/time, requested page, transferred data volume, referrer, browser/OS) to deliver the website and ensure security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in secure and stable operation).

4. Account, registration and login

Using the web app requires an account. During registration we process, in particular, your email address, username, password (stored as a hash) and language settings. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract / pre-contractual measures).

Email verification

After registration we send a verification email. To confirm your address, we process a verification token (stored only as a hash in the database) and an expiration time. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

5. Gameplay and profile data

During use, we process data required to run the game (e.g., game progress, statistics, rankings/tournament data, settings). This data is linked to your account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Support / tickets

If you create a ticket, we process the ticket type, your message and (if provided) a link. This data is linked to your account. Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (support as part of the service) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in bug analysis and product improvement).

7. Cookies / session

We use strictly necessary cookies, in particular a session cookie for login and secure session handling. Without these cookies, the web app cannot be provided reliably. Legal basis: Section 25(2) TTDSG (Germany) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

8. Google Fonts

This website loads fonts via Google Fonts (integration through fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your IP address is transmitted to Google because the fonts are technically retrieved from Google servers. In Europe, the provider is usually Google Ireland Limited. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in consistent presentation). A transfer to third countries (e.g., the USA) cannot be ruled out.

9. Recipients / processors

We use service providers who process personal data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR), in particular for hosting/server operation and for sending emails (SMTP), where an external provider is used.

10. Retention

  • Account and gameplay data: generally for the lifetime of the user account.
  • Email verification data: until verification is completed or the token expires.
  • Tickets: until resolved/closed and beyond if needed for traceability.
  • Server logs: stored for a limited period and then deleted/anonymized (depending on the hosting setup).

If you delete your account, account data is deleted or anonymized unless legal retention obligations apply.

11. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

12. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. Where available, the website should only be used via encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

13. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
